Goa Medical College is the only MBBS college in the state. 200 seats, all government. No private colleges, no deemed universities. Simple counselling.
Affordable Government Fees
Fee: ₹1.4L/yr. Total 4.5-year cost: ₹6.3L. Affordable for a coastal state government college.
State + MCC AIQ
85% seats through Goa state counselling via DTE Goa. 15% through MCC AIQ (open to all India). Non-domicile can only access AIQ seats.

Who Can Apply

180 MBBS seats at GMC Bambolim, distributed across multiple categories.

Eligibility
Indian national, valid NEET UG score, HSSC passed. Local Applicants (LA) = passed HSSC from Goa. Outside Goa Applicants (OGA) eligible for limited categories. Must apply through DTE Goa prospectus.
Categories (Goa-specific)
SC (2%), ST (12%), OBC, CSP (3%) (children of central/state govt employees), ESM (1%) (ex-servicemen), NRI (up to 5%), GN (Goan Natives), EWS, FF (Freedom Fighters), PwD. Open/General is the largest pool.
Key Difference: ST at 12%
Goa reserves 12% for ST — much higher than many states. SC is only 2%. This reflects Goa's demographic composition. Total reservation stays under 50% as per SCI directives.
Bond & Service

Compulsory Service Bond

1 Year Govt Service Bond
All MBBS/BDS students must execute a bond to serve Goa Government for 1 year after completing the course. This is relatively short compared to other states.
₹10 Lakh Penalty
Penalty of ₹10.00 lakhs if the student resigns without completing the course or fails to serve the government under bond. Confirm details with GMC at admission.
